Inaugural Parade Tickets Sold Out

Presidential Inaugural Parade

Ticketmaster says all 5,000 tickets for the inaugural parade that they put on sale at 1 p.m. on Friday are gone, and they sold out in just minutes. Buyers were able to purchase up to four at a time by phone or via the Ticketmaster website.

If you're lucky enough to score one of the tickets, it'll get you a seat in the bleachers. You don't get to pick exactly where you sit, but the ticket does guarantee that you'll sit somewhere. It's sort of like general admission at a concert.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee says there is more space for standing than sitting along the parade route. If you don't have a ticket, they suggest showing up early and finding your little bit of sidewalk along Pennsylvania Avenue.

If you get tickets, remember you have to be seated by 1 p.m. The parade on Jan. 20 starts between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
